Melora Hardin is an American actress and singer.
She is the daughter of Diane and actor Jerry Hardin (Jerry Wayne Hardin). Melora is married to British actor Gildart Jackson, with whom she has two children.
Melora’s paternal grandfather was Jerry Lee Hardin (the son of Lee P. Hardin and Clementine “Clemmie” Mitchell). Clementine was the daughter of Martha Melinda Mitchell and possibly of George Flowers Palmer.
Melora’s paternal grandmother was Eultina/Ultima Stagg (the daughter of Robert Fulton Stagg and Ola Melissa Burleigh). Robert was the son of Adolph/Adolphe Stagg and Ultima Carentin/Carrentin/Caratine. Ola was the daughter of Gilbert Burleigh and Melissa Buchannon.
Melora’s maternal grandparents likely were Raymond G. Hill (the son of James Abraham Hill and Jessie A. Hysell) and Elizabeth Mae Raether (the daughter of Fred H. Raether and Minnie M. Klinger).

Melora’s great-great-grandmother Ultima was the daughter of Benjamin Carentin/Carrentin/Caratine and Perolie Gentgen Yanzin. I guess their ancestry was simply Cajun, but I still wonder. Benjamin’s surname, or variations of it, appears to be Italian. Perolie’s surname is Russian (of all things), but the rest of her name is of course not very Russian-sounding.
Anyone who can find anything more about this couple?
Carentin is also spelled Quarentin, and Benjamin was the son of Michael Carantin and Marie Magdalaine Chauvin. I doubt it was Italian in this case.
There are many people named Yanzin who aren’t Russian.
Not really

I hate those websites.
There were some Yanzins in Mexico. Perhaps it’s something Spanish-derived.
