Stefania LaVie Owen is an American-New Zealand actress.

Stefania is the daughter of Margarita and Mark Owen. Her father is from New Zealand. Her mother is American, of Cuban descent. She was raised in Pauatahanui, New Zealand, from the age of four.

Stefania’s maternal grandfather was Roberto Martin Dosal Dominquez (the son of Martin Francisco Dosal Quijano and Zoila Dominguez). Roberto was born in Cuba. Stefania’s great-grandfather Martin was the son of Martin Dosal Martinez and Carolina Quijano Alvarez.

Stefania’s maternal grandmother was Margarita Gonzalez-Chavez Arias (the daughter of Camilo Saturnino Gonzalez-Chavez y Acosta and Raquel Arias Llorens). Margarita was born in Kansas, to Cuban parents, from Matanzas. Camilo was the son of Jose Francisco Gonzalez-Chavez Bombalier and Camila Acosta Roque de Escobar. Raquel was the daughter of Manuel Arias Diaz, who was born in Asturias, Spain, and of Bárbara Llorens y Meyreles.
