Carlos Saldanha is a Brazilian animator, director, producer, and voice actor. He has co-directed the films Ice Age and Robots, and directed the films Ice Age: The Meltdown, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Rio, Rio 2, Ferdinand, and the Gone Nutty short film.

His surname is Portuguese. He was raised in Marechal Hermes, Rio de Janeiro. As an adult, he attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, to study computer animation. Carlos is married to mathematician Isabella Scarpa, with whom he has four children.
