Daryl Hall is an American rock, R&B, and soul singer; keyboardist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He is the principal lead vocalist of pop rock duo Hall & Oates, alongside guitarist and songwriter John Oates. He has also been credited as Daryl Hohl, Daryl F. Hohl, and D. Franklin Hohl.
Daryl is the son of Betty Mae (Wanner) and Walter Franklin Hall. He has a son with his former partner Andrea Zabloski. Daryl converted to Judaism around 1969 or 1970, when marrying his former wife Bryna Lublin.
Daryl’s paternal grandfather was William Franklin Hohl (the son of Benjamin Franklin Hohl and Laura P. Bitler). William was born in Pennsylvania. Benjamin was the son of Samuel Franklin Hohl and Hannah Hoyer. Laura was the daughter of William Henry Bitler and Lucinda K. Kennedy.
