Laura Branigan was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known for her recordings “Gloria” and “Self Control.”
She was the daughter of Kathleen (O’Hare) and James Branigan. Her brother was singer Billy Branigan. Laura was married to Lawrence Ross “Larry” Kruteck, until his death.
Laura’s maternal grandfather was William O’Hare, Jr. (the son of William John O’Hare and Agnes B. O’Connor). Laura’s grandfather William was born in New York, to Irish parents.
