He has had voice roles on the show Father of the Pride and the Gex video game franchise, the latter of which he has also written for. He has appeared on the show Creepshow, co-created and starred on the show Super Adventure Team, created, and wrote for, the show Stan Against Evil, and wrote for The Simpsons.

Dana was raised Catholic.

He is married to business executive Sue Naegle, with whom he has three children, who are adopted from China. Sue was president of HBO Entertainment.
