Lee Isaac Chung is an American film director and screenwriter. He has directed the films Munyurangabo, Lucky Life, Abigail Harm, all of which he co-wrote; Minari, which he wrote; and Twisters, and an episode of the series The Mandalorian. Munyurangabo was the first narrative feature in the Kinyarwanda language of Rwanda. He was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Minari, which was also nominated for Best Picture.

Lee was born in Denver, to South Korean parents. His family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and then to a small family farm in Lincoln, Arkansas. He is married to Valerie Chu, with whom he has a daughter.
