King Krule is an English singer, songwriter, musician, rapper, and record producer. His music blends punk jazz, post-punk, hip hop, trip hop, and darkwave. He has also been known as Zoo Kid, DJ JD Sports, Edgar the Beatmaker, Edgar the Breathtaker, Lankslacks, The Oozemaster, and The Return of Pimp Shrimp.

King Krule is the son of Rachel Howard and Adam Marshall, and was raised in Peckham and East Dulwich. He has a son with photographer Charlotte Patmore.

He has said that he has family from the Czech Republic. It is not clear if he was referring to a direct ancestor.
