“Joanne Perkins was born into the chaos of the Korean War and later adopted by an American serviceman who had spotted her mother filling sandbags in Inchon. Joanne maintains that her “full-blooded Japanese” mother went to Korea from Kyoto as a refugee during World War II, though this would make her a historical anomaly. There were few, if any, refugees from Kyoto, since it was never bombed, and those who left for Korea at the war’s end were invariably ethnic Koreans who were repatriating.

Joanne Perkins worked as an administrator for Social Security and has retired to a house in East Hampton that Kimora bought for her. Perkins now calls herself by her mother’s name, Kyoko, baffling longtime acquaintances.”

Her mother was born to full Korean parents who moved to Japan. She is NOT Japanese maybe by nationality through naturalization but not by origin. I saw a documentary years ago when Kimora was starting out as a model but I guess some how living in Japan suddenly makes you “Japanese”??? For some reason I guess Kimora thinks that she is Japanese because she never states that she is Korean.

unfortunately some people like to choose an ethnicity that seems more appealing to them. If she is actually just Korean Id be proud to admit that.

Wow, you have it all backwards.

Her mother was a pure-blooded *Japanese* woman, who settled in *korea* because of the war. She is Japanese by blood, and moved to Korea. Not the other way around.

      Kimora *is* Japanese by blood.

Who didn’t know she was black??? LOL. Everyone can trace back to Africa anyway…it would just be VERY difficult for some…but Africa is where the human race began… :)

just because a black man found kimora’s mother pretty does’nt mean that asians are not ugly. I mean, i don’t find asian ppl ugly at all, but we can’t prove that asian ppl are not ugly just because of a black man who found an asian women pretty, it’s ridiculous, and what does that mean??? If a white man, or an asian man, find an asian girl pretty, it doesn’t count ???
COLOR, i agree with you when you say asian ppl are not ugly, but your argument is quite dumb, sorry.
