Kiana Madeira is a Canadian-born actress. She starred as Deena in the trilogy Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666, and is also known for her roles in the films Giant Little Ones, She Never Died, the sequels After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and After Everything; and Brother (2022), on the shows Really Me, Sacred Lies, and Trinkets, and in the made-for-tv movies Bad Hair Day, The Swap, and the Bruno & Boots trilogy.
Her father was born in Portugal. She has written, “…the other half is split between Irish, Native Indian and Canadian-Black.” She was raised in Mississauga.
Kiana is married to actor Lovell Adams-Gray.
Kiana’s maternal grandmother was Retha Elaine Sparks (the daughter of Frederick Alexander “Freddie” Sparks and Laura Mae Downey). Retha was born in Loon Lake, Nova Scotia, and was of Black Nova Scotian descent. Frederick was the son of John Roland Sparks and Blanche Mae Downey. Laura was the daughter of Walter Downey and Agnes McLellan.
