He was the Libertarian Party’s nominee for Vice President of the United States, in 1988, and for President of the United States, in 1992.

Andre is the son of Bessie Annette (Deason) and Andrew Noil Marrou. His brother is news anchor Chris Marrou.

Andre’s paternal grandfather was named Gene Marrou. Gene was born in France.

Andre’s paternal grandmother was named Marie. Marie was born in Belgium, of Walloon origin.

    His Belgian ancestor was Walloon. Marie’s language is listed as French on the census.
