Hope Sandoval is an American singer and songwriter. She is the lead singer for alternative rock band Mazzy Star and dream pop band Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions, and was part of folk music duo Going Home, with Sylvia Gomez. She has also worked with trip hop collective Massive Attack.

Her father was a butcher and her mother worked for a potato chip manufacturer. She was raised in East Los Angeles.
