He is the son of an English mother, “Pip,” and an American father, Peter Kenworthy.

Gus’ paternal grandfather was Hugh Kenworthy Jr. (the son of Hugh Kenworthy and Helen Moore Spackman). Gus’ grandfather Hugh was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and had partially deep roots in the U.S. Gus’ great-grandfather Hugh was the son of Jesse Lloyd Kenworthy, whose father was English, and Mary E. Gill. Helen was the daughter of Horace Branson Spackman and Ella Eliza Moore.
