Thaddeus McCotter is an American politician and radio host. A Republican, he served as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan, from January 3, 2003 to July 6, 2012.
He was a candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States in 2012.
Thaddeus is the son of Georgia Joan (Farabaugh) and Dennis V. McCotter. He is married to Rita (Michel), with whom he has three children.
Thaddeus’s paternal grandfather was named Frank McCotter. Frank was born in Northern Ireland.
