He was born Kasseem Daoud Dean and is Muslim by religion. He was raised by his mother in the North East Bronx. Swizz is described as being of African-Jamaican and Puerto Rican descent. He has said that a DNA test showed him to be of 20% Irish ancestry [possibly the DNA category “British & Irish”].
Swizz is married to singer and actress Alicia Keys, who is of mixed ethnicity. Their wedding ceremony was on the island of Corsica, located in the Mediterranean Sea.
Swizz has a son, model and rapper Note Marcato, with Nicole Levy; a son with his former wife, R&B recording artist and songwriter Mashonda Tifrere; a daughter with British singer, songwriter, and producer Jahna Sebastian; and two children with Alicia.

This source here claims he’s “Puerto Rican and African American” and I think I have seen other articles claim that too, but then other sources will mention he has Jamaican and Puerto Rican heritage.

Not sure who to believe.
There is no true distinction for being a Black slave descendant in this country. Being of African Jamaican descent is within being an African American. For instance, Beyonce’s father is constantly listed as an African American but is also of Bahamian descent.
You must not know who Mathew Knowles is. His roots are descended from enslaved people in Alabama and the Deep South; that’s it. Not sure where in the world you’re getting Bahamian from.
Beyonce is not Bahamian, stop making stuff up.
