Last year, I came to the [Asian Excellence] awards and people were like what are you doing here Sharon? What’s going on? I felt like I had to announce that I am half-Filipino. My mother is from the Philippines…. I’m undoubtedly Asian. The best part of this award is your acknowledgment of that fact. I’m very proud to be part of these awards. I sincerely thank you. Thank you so much.

She has a son with her former husband, director John Beverly “Bev” Land, who is now married to actress Dania Ramirez.

She’s obviously mixed. The link above explains what black is. West subsahran black African descent.

That comment was slightly racy, black defines anyone who fits under the physical characteristics of the racial classification. West African doesn’t cut it at all and the notion of Sub Saharan Africa was invented as a religious, political and racial separation between the general Arab population of north Africa and the “Sub Saharan Africans” – a euphemism for “Black Africans” ( although just saying Africans saves us from this grief) – Sub Saharan basically means after the Sahara or more realistically speaking after North of the Sahara. Black people inhabit far more than just west of Africa. That’s an ignorant mentality. “black is. West Sub Saharan black African descent” That statement is utterly paradoxical due to the fact that Black African equates to being Sub Saharan African and neither of the two means West African alone, it means east, west, central and south. The reason I wrote this comment was because I didn’t want anyone to believe that their blackness is determined by where in Africa they are from and that they are not adequately black just because they are not “west African”. Besides, what about Aboriginal Australians or the ancient oceanic people or the great Andaman islanders etc and not one of them are African nor are they at the least bit genetically related or linked. Save yourself from ignorance.

Sharon is a self hated person she don’t like the skin she’s in so she decide to lie and say she’s biracial as also to really say she’s full African American
