Rod Lauren was an American actor and singer.

He was the son of Helen Edith and Lawrence Jesse Strunk. He was married to Filipino actress and comedian Nida Blanca, until her death. He was a suspect in her death.

Rod’s paternal grandfather was Irving Cant Strunk (the son of William Camp Strunk and Sarah Elisabeth Crane). William was of German descent.

Rod’s paternal grandmother was Eloisa Martinez (the daughter of Francisco Martinez and Teresa Valdez). Eloisa’s ancestors were early Californian settlers from Mexico.

Rod’s maternal grandfather was Charles Alfred Ware (the son of William Y. Ware and Sarah Peeples). Charles was born in Arkansas.

Rod’s maternal grandmother was Edith Belle Henthorn (the daughter of Isaac Newton Henthorn and Ella Carrie Edwards). Edith was born in Nebraska. Ella was the daughter of Alfonse Heald Edwards and Eliza Caroline Grant.
