Robby Takac is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is the bassist and co-vocalist of rock band Goo Goo Dolls. Other members of the band include/have included Mike Malinin, John Rzeznik, and George Tutuska.

Robby is the son of Kathleen and Robert Takac. He was raised in West Seneca, Buffalo.

Robby’s paternal grandfather was named Carl/Caroll J. Takac (the son of Michael Takac and Anna). Carl was born in New York, to Slovak parents.
