Reiko Aylesworth is an American actress. She is known for her roles on the shows 24, ER, and Lost.

She was born in Evanston, Illinois. Her paternal grandfather was of Welsh, English, Scottish, and distant Swedish, descent, and her paternal grandmother was of Japanese ancestry. Reiko’s mother was born in South Africa, to Dutch parents who had left the country during WWII; her own father was Jewish, while her own mother was of Dutch non-Jewish background.

Reiko was raised partly in Springfield, Illinois. Reiko is married to Rob Clare, a scholar and expert on Shakespearean theatre.

Reiko’s paternal grandfather was David Richard Aylesworth (the son of George Robert Aylesworth and Ruth Llewellyn Power). David was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, and had Welsh, English, Scottish, and distant Swedish, ancestry, including deep Colonial American roots. George was the son of Canadian parents, from Ontario, David Brown Aylesworth and Anna Eliza Smith. Ruth was the daughter of William Garrett Power and Una Emma Owen.

Reiko’s paternal grandmother was Dahlia Yayoi Saito (the daughter of Ronsaku/Ransaku Saito and Natsu Suzuki). Dahlia was born in Medford, Oregon, to Japanese parents. Ronsaku was the son of Kozaburo Saito and Ono Take.

Reiko’s maternal grandfather was Leo Meijer (the son of Heiman Meijer and Lucretia van der Hal). Leo was born in Groningen, Netherlands, to a Jewish family. Heiman was the son of Levie Meijer and Rebekka Heiman van Dam. Lucretia was the daughter of Siemon van der Hal‏‎ and Rebecka Hes‏, who was born in Weener, Lower Saxony, Germany.

Reiko’s maternal grandmother was Cornelia/Katja Johanna Maria van de Kerkhof (the daughter of Johannes Franciscus van de Kerkhof and Anna Maria Graafmans). Cornelia was born in Tilburg‎. Johannes was born in Boxtel, the son of Johannes Hubertus van de Kerkhof and Johanna Koopmans. Reiko’s great-grandmother Anna Maria was born in Gemeente Tilburg, the daughter of Wouterus Graafmans and Johanna Hendrika Hamers.

    A couple surnamed Aylesworth in the Chicago area where the woman is of Japanese descent and the man has a bunch of Welsh names and surnames in his family tree, sounds very much like a match to me.
