Phyllis Diller was an American comedian, actress, and voice artist. She was the daughter of Frances Ada (Romshe) and Perry Marcus Driver.

Phyllis’ paternal grandfather was Benjamin Driver (the son of Peter Driver and Dorathy Meyer). Benjamin was of German descent. Peter was the son of Ludwig Treiber, who was German, and of Anna Barbara Sprenkle.

Phyllis’ paternal grandmother was Lucinda Allen (the daughter of Augustin Allen and Sina Rawley).

Phyllis’ maternal grandfather was John McClintock Romshe (the son of John George Romshe and Mary Anna McClintock). Phyllis’ great-grandfather John was born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, the son of Justus Romshe and Anna Margaret Michel.
