Nolan Ryan is an American baseball player. He is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Texas Rangers.

He was the son of Martha Lee (Hancock) and Lynn Nolan Ryan, Sr.

Nolan’s paternal grandfather was Albert Jackson Ryan (the son of William Franklin Ryan and Mary Elizabeth Dalley). William was the son of John Ira Ryan and Mary Ann Otis.

Nolan’s paternal grandmother was Angle Caroline Pullin (the daughter of Thomas Nolan Pullin). Thomas was the son of Hiram Pullin and Candacy Butler.

Nolan’s maternal grandparents were Leroy Hancock and Martha Eveline Ware (the daughter of James William Ware and Mary C. McAualy). James was the son of Zachariah Ware and Mary Ann Tomlinson. Nolan’s great-grandmother Mary C. was the daughter of John McAulay/McAualy and Ann Nancy Ivey.
