Nathan Englander is an American short story writer and novelist. He is known for his short story compilations For the Relief of Unbearable Urges and What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank.

He grew up in Long Island’s Orthodox Jewish community. He later spent five years living in Israel. Nathan lives in Toronto, Canada. He is married to Rachel, with whom he has two children.
