Meg White is an American musician and singer. She was the drummer of Detroit rock duo The White Stripes, partnering with her then-husband Jack White.

Meg is the daughter of Catherine and Walter White.

Meg’s paternal grandfather was Walter Hackett White, Sr. (the son of Duncan White and Janet L. Skea/Skae). Walter was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Scottish parents. Janet was born in Arbroath, Angus, the daughter of David Skea and Isabella Lundie.
