Mark Pocan is an American politician and businessperson. A member of the Democratic Party, he has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin, since January 3, 2013, and Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, since May 23, 2017.
Mark is the son of Corrine and William Pocan. His brother is Wisconsin circuit court judge William Pocan. Mark is married to Philip Frank.
Mark’s paternal grandfather was Wilbert B. Pocan (the son of Louis Pocan and Mary Elmira Lemay). Wilbert was born in Wisconsin. Louis was born in Milwaukee, to French-Canadian parents, from Québec, Charles Paul Paquin and Maria Boucer.
