Mark Dacascos, also credited as Marc Dacascos, is an American actor and martial artist. He plays The Chairman on the show Iron Chef America, and appeared on season 9 of the show Dancing with the Stars.

His father, Al Dacascos, a martial arts instructor, is of Filipino, Spanish, and Chinese ancestry. His mother, Moriko McVey-Murray, was the daughter of a white American father from Kentucky, and a Japanese-American mother.

Mark was raised by his father and stepmother, martial artist Malia Bernal.

Mark is married to actress Julie Condra, with whom he has three children.

Mark’s paternal grandfather was named Benjamin Da Coscos. Benjamin was Filipino.

Mark’s paternal grandmother was Nancy Candida Salva (the daughter of Anastacio Salva/Salba and Christina Florita). Anastacio and Christina were Filipino.

Mark’s maternal grandfather was Raymond Lloyd McVey (the son of Harvey McVey and Pearl McFarland). Raymond was born in Kentucky. Harvey was a coal miner. Pearl was the daughter of James McFarland and Lucy Barton.

Mark’s maternal grandmother was Kiyoko Tanabe/Lum (the daughter of Takeo Tanabe and Yasuyo Yanagisako/Gomez). Kiyoko’s parents were from Hiroshima, Japan. Takeo was the son of Toyojiro Tanabe, or Tanabe Toyojiro in Japanese style.
