Liza Weil is an American actress. She is known for playing Paris Geller on Gilmore Girls.

She was born into an acting family. Her parents are Lisa and Marc Weil, who toured Europe with their comedy troupe The Madhouse Company of London, during her childhood. Liza practices Reform Judaism. She has a daughter with her former husband, actor Paul Adelstein. Liza’s niece is actress Scarlett Estevez, who is the daughter of Liza’s sister.

Liza’s maternal grandfather was Curtis Wayne Ingalls (the son of Leymont Corbin Ingalls and Helga Ovida Larson). Curtis was born in South Dakota. Leymont was the son of David James Ingalls and Louisa Hulda Rollins, who was born in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Helga was born in Michigan, to Norwegian parents, Lauritz Christian Larsen and Nikoline Johanne Olsdatter.

Liza’s maternal grandfather was Aune Miriam Waisanen (the daughter of Matthew/Mat/Matti Waisanen and Magdalena “Lena” Nevalainen). Aune was born in Michigan, to Finnish parents. Lena was born in Ita-Suomen Laani, the daughter of Peter Johannes Nevalainen and Magdalene Korhonen.
