Keisha Lance Bottoms is an American politician and lawyer. A member of the Democratic Party, she has served as Mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, since January 2, 2018.

Keisha is the daughter of Sylvia Robinson and Major Lance, an R&B singer and songwriter. Among her ancestors is Shepherd Peek, a freed black man from a plantation near Crawfordville. He may have served in the Georgia state legislature during Reconstruction.

She is married to Derek W. Bottoms, with whom she has four children, who are adopted.
