Julie Vega was a Filipina actress, singer, and commercial model. She was also known as “Darling Postigo,” “Anna Liza,” and “Tata.”

She was the daughter of Perla “Pearl” Apostol and Julio Fort Postigo. Her parents were dentists. Her paternal great-grandfather was an American, of Dutch, English, and German descent. Some sources state that her paternal grandmother also had Irish ancestry. It is not clear if this Irish ancestry has been verified/documented.

Vega’s paternal grandfather was León Bayot Postigo (the son of Ángel Postigo y Baduria and Julia Bayot y Ramírez). León was born in Tigaon, Camarines Sur, Bicol, Philippines, and was a general. Ángel was the son of Agustín Postigo and Tomasa Baduria. Julia was the daughter of Cirilo Bayot and María Ramírez.

Vega’s paternal grandmother was Aurora Gasindo Fort (the daughter of Brig. Gen. Guy Osborn Fort and Catalina Gasindo). Aurora was born in Davao City, Davao del Sur, Davao Region, Philippines. Guy was born in Keeler, Van Buren County, Michigan. He was an American who came to the Philippines at a young age, and was executed by the Japanese during World War II. He was the son of Jacob Marvin Fort and Laura/Lura “Lena” Fulkerson. Jacob’s paternal grandparents, Teunis Fort and Delia Ann Birch, had Dutch and English ancestry.
