John Hodiak was an American actor. He was the son of Anna (Pogerzeliec/Pogorzelec) and Walter Hodiak, who were emigrants from Poland. He was raised in Hamtramck, Michigan, and grew up acting in Ukrainian and Russian plays.

He had a daughter with his former wife, actress Anne Baxter.
