Cusack is Irish just like Costello. They are Norman names. A lot of Irish people have names that are Norman origin. Some more examples are Fitzgerald, Burke. There are many.
I’m Irish and the place is full of Cusacks.

Actually, Cusack is Irish. Records of Meath Archaeological & Histotical Society”, Vol.IV, No.5, 1971,p.76 also “The Cusacks of Killeen, Co Meath” by Fr.P.Cusack, O.Cist. 1980-81. p.7
One of my Irish ancestors is a Cusack. I’m also part Easter European – no Cusacks there.
I’m also part Eastern European. Cusack sounds Eastern European but I’ve never heard of it being an Eastern European name.
