Jennifer O’Neill is a Brazilian and American actress, model, author, and speaker. She is known for starring in the film Summer of ’42 (1971).

Jennifer is the daughter of Irene Freda and Oscar Delgado O’Neill, Jr. Her father was born in Puerto Rico, and had Irish, Spanish, and distant Basque, ancestry, with forebears who also lived in Trinidad, Antigua, Bermuda, and the Virgin Islands. He was a World War II hero. Jennifer’s mother was English, from West Ham.

Jennifer is married to Mervin Sidney Louque, Jr., and has three children.

Jennifer’s paternal grandfather was Oscar Delgado O’Neill, Sr. (the son of Eduardo Delgado O’Neill and America Lopez). Oscar was born in San Germán, Puerto Rico. Eduardo was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

Jennifer’s paternal grandmother was Ada Kathleen Lee Tapia (the daughter of Albert Edward Lee Basanta and Catalina Concepcion Tapia Diaz). Ada was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Albert was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Thomas Edward Lee Baggs, who was from St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and of Josephine Ahrens/Arens Basanta. Josephine, also of Ponce, who was also surnamed Wainwright, was the granddaughter of Valentine/Valentin de Basanta, who was born, c. 1762, in Biscay, Spain. Jennifer’s great-grandmother Catalina was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Alejandro Tapia y Rivera and Mara del Rosario Díaz Espiau.

Jennifer’s maternal grandfather was named Frederick Samuel Pope.

Jennifer’s maternal grandmother was named Emily Taylor.
