Jack Kaminer
Birth Name: Jack Barry Kaminer
Place of Birth: Brooklyn, New York City, New York, U.S.
Date of Birth: 1942
Ethnicity: Ashkenazi Jewish
Jack Kaminer is an American basketball coach. He was inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
He is 75% Ashkenazi Jewish. His grandfather Joseph Kaminer was of Russian Jewish ancestry but his grandmother Sarah (Price) Kaminer was non-Jewish of German and Irish heritage. His mothers side is also of Russian Jewish heritage. If you have any questions my email is [email protected]
This is his maternal grandfather. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Shernick-44
Abraham Sam Shernick was the son of Henry Morris Schranikow, the son of Heinrich Schernikau. Heinrich when I looked at his records on ancestry.com was not Jewish. Instead a Lutheran baptist in Germany. German should be added to his ethnicity.
I don’t know who this person is and why we are still talking about him, but I doubt highly a Yiddish-speaking Russian Jew born in 1870 would have a German Lutheran father. Whoever made that tree probably linked the wrong person.
Anything is possible.
I think some of the ancestors I listed are inaccurate he is only 65% Ashkenazi Jewish on average.
“CORRECTION’
?
Ancestry DNA said his older brother is only 65% European Jewish.
I wish there was a picture of Jack because he looks happy. Honestly I would have guessed he had some black or Native American in him. he probably does\
Middle name is Barry and paternal grandmother was Beckie Chlebebros (Kaminer)
