George Watsky, also known simply as Watsky, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, poet, author, and illustrator.

George’s paternal grandfather was Seymour A. Watsky (the son of Abraham Watsky and Ethel Frank). Seymour was born in New York, to Russian Jewish parents.

George’s paternal grandmother was named Sydelle “Syde” Siegel.

George’s maternal grandfather was Clement Woodnutt Miller, a Democratic politician, who was a U.S. Representative from California, from 1959 to 1962 (the son of Clement Woodnutt Miller and Katherina Hulda Dunham). George’s grandfather Clement was born in California. George’s great-grandfather Charles was the son of Charles R. Miller, a Republican politician, who was Governor of Delaware, from 1913 to 1917, and who had Irish and English ancestry, and of Abigail “Abbie” Morgan Woodnutt. George’s great-great-uncle was Thomas W. Miller (Thomas Woodnutt Miller), who was a Republican Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, from Delaware.

George’s maternal grandmother was Katherine Southerland (the daughter of Clarence A. Southerland and Katherine Virden). Katherine was born in Delaware, and was a conservationist and activist. Clarence was a Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, and was the son of Clarence Southerland/Sutherland and Amy F. Katharine Virden Southerland was a best-selling author of mystery novels in the 1920s.
