George Orwell was an English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic. He is known for his novels Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm, among others.
George was born in Motihari, India, the son of Ida Mabel (Limouzin) and Richard Walmesley Blair, who were English-born. His father was born in Milborne, Dorset. His mother was born in Penge, Surrey.
He was married to Eileen Blair, until her death, and then to Sonia Orwell, until his death. He had a son with Eileen, who was adopted.
George’s paternal grandfather was named Thomas Richard Arthur Blair (the son of Charles Blair and Jane). Thomas was born in Exbury, Hampshire, England, and was a deacon, and vicar, in the Church of England. Charles was the son of Charles Blair, a landlord of sugar plantations in Jamaica, and of Mary Fane. Mary was the daughter of Thomas Fane, eighth Earl of Westmorland.
George’s paternal grandmother was named Frances/Fanny Catherine Hare. Frances was from South Africa.
George’s maternal grandfather was named Francis Matthew Limouzin (the son of John Eugene Limouzin). Francis was born in Bordeaux, Gironde, Aquitaine, France, or in Burma.
George’s maternal grandmother was named Theresa/Thérèse/Teresa Catherine Halliley.

“Blair” is Scottish though undocumented before Jamaica.
That is not the “Full family tree.” This connection to the Wilberforce family seems to have originated from online genealogies. I’m not sure I believe it, especially considering Frances is usually described as having an older sister named Emily, who isn’t listed as one of the many children of this Hare couple on the various online trees.
