He is the son of actors Stephen Dillane and Naomi Wirthner. His father is of English, Irish, Scottish, and remote Manx [Isle of Man], ancestry. Frank’s mother is the daughter of a white father, with German ancestry, and of a black Jamaican mother. His uncle is actor Richard Dillane.

    This is bad results of someone chemically processing their hair, which I can only assume is more tightly curled than that — now it just looks frizzy.

    There are claims on the internet that his father Stephen mentioned in a 2006 Australian interview that reggae changed his life and that he ended up marrying a Jamaican woman. I haven’t found the interview, though.

    His mother has a Jamaican accent in this clip, though it is not clear if it is exaggerated.
