Chris’ paternal grandfather was Frank A. “Hank” Salvatore (the son of Peter/Pietro Salvatore and Domenica/Dominica di Piera). Hank was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Italian parents.

Chris’ paternal grandmother was Gloria Leggieri (the daughter of Louis Leggieri and Mary N. Labrozzi). Gloria was born in Pennsylvania. Louis was born in Pennsylvania, to Italian parents. Mary was also the daughter of Italian parents, Vitale F. Labrozzi, who was born in San Salvo, Chieti, Abruzzo, and Maria D. D’Aulerio.

Chris’ maternal grandfather was Arthur James Marnien (the son of Sgt. Joseph Leo Marnien and Irene E. Smith). Arthur was born in Pennsylvania.
