Brooke Adams is an American actress.

Brooke is the daughter of Rosalind (Gould), an actress, and Robert K. Adams, who was a producer, actor, and vice president of CBS. She is the sister of actress Lynne Adams. Brooke is married to actor Tony Shalhoub, with whom she has two children.

Brooke’s paternal grandfather was Robert Lynn/Linn Adams (the son of Robert Maynard Adams and Mary W. Baxter). Brooke’s grandfather Robert was born in Michigan.

Brooke’s paternal grandmother was Josephine Kaufmann (the daughter of Adam S. Kaufmann and Emma E. Burwell/Buswell). Josephine was born in Michigan. Adam’s parents were German.

Brooke’s maternal grandfather was Harold Howard Gould (the son of Howard Gould and Lena Martha Bugbee). Harold was born in Massachusetts. Brooke’s great-grandfather Howard was the son of Hiram Wethern Gould and Elizabeth Ilsey Libby/Selby. Lena was the daughter of Gilbert Danfort/Danford Bugbee and Cordelia S. “Delia” Pratt.

    A coincidence or not but Kaufmann and Gould are often Jewish names.
