Bill Buckner was an American professional baseball player. He was a first baseman and left fielder, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1969 to 1990.

Bill was the son of Marie Katherine and Leonard Dean Buckner. He was raised in American Canyon. He was married to Jody, with whom he had three children.

Bill’s paternal grandfather was Fred Simpson Buchner/Buckner (the son of John Allen Buchner/Buckner and Adeline M. Fugate). Fred was born in Kansas. John was born in Jackson, Iowa, the son of Allen N. Buchner and Emily Etta Furnish. Adeline was the daughter of Josiah Joseph Fugate and Sarah H. Coffee/Coffey.

Bill’s paternal grandmother was Ruby Irene Campbell (the daughter of Patrick Henry Campbell and Mary Collins). Ruby was born in Kansas. Patrick was born in Ohio, the son of James M. Campbell and Rebecca Keran.

Bill’s maternal grandfather was Earl Frank Dapper (the son of John Peter Dapper and Catherine Kuhlmann/Kuhlman). Earl was born in Minnesota. John was the son of Caspar Dapper and Catharina. Bill’s great-grandmother Catherine was the daughter of Henry/Heinrich Kuhlman and Magdalena Botz.

      You’re right, thanks Andrew. On a separate note this guy is VERY UNDERRATED. his whole career will be remembered for the 1986 World Series where he blew the game for the Red Sox and then they lost the series but a very good career first baseman. As a Mets fan I was happy but respect to a great player.
