    she may be 56,25 Mexican 43,75 White

    • madman says:

      She only has 3,125% confirmed British ancestry. If her paternal grandmother is entirely British, which she may or may not be, that only adds up to 28,125%.

        I’m not even sure why anyone is trying to compare apples-to-oranges. Mexican is a nationality, “white” is roughly what you’d call a race. Most Mexicans have significant “white” ancestry.

        Anyway, at least the part of the country she’s from, you’d be comparing Mexican and “Anglo,” which is a mostly apples-to-apples comparison. In any case, judging by what little we know so far, she appears to be at least a quarter Anglo.

        @madman

        In fact you are right. Never been good in math. Possibly 28,125% I’d say.

    Anjelah’s paternal grandfather was Ruben Johnson.

    One of Anjelah’s paternal great-grandmothers’ name was Ramona.

  3. madman says:

    Either her ancestors first names vary on records, or that marriage record is not the right one but the surnames just happen to be the same.

    Anjelah’s maternal grandfather was Manuel Castaneda.

    Anjelah’s maternal grandmother was Rachel Jimenez (the daughter of Ambrocio Jimenez and Felipa Contreras).

    This is likely her father. His mother’s surname is Haines.

    She is full Mexican descent (Spanish +Native) not half. She says so on her website and on twitter she posted a picture of her family.

    • Oaken05 says:

      I went and look up a pic of her father. He could very well just be Native/predominantly native. And if they have her father’s name correct, why would you assume he’s Mexican? What’s your evidence?

    • madman says:

      Yes, Mitchell Lewis Johnson is a very common surname among the Mexicans.

      A lot of Americans leave out British ancestry when stating their ethnicity. I might look into her father’s side later.
