I have German ancestry from Southwestern Germany (Baden Wurttemberg) and most of my German relatives have a very mediterranean look to them (brown curlier hair, brown eyes, olive skin tone, short height) very similar to this guy. Northern Germans tend to look more like the stereotypical Germans but if you head south in Germany you’ll find ones who look more like Andrew. I wonder if his German ancestry is from the south? has to be, he looks so much like my German side of the family.

those places have more slavic influence maybe thats why but whatever they german anyway

Interestingly enough, I do score some 6% unknown Eastern Euro DNA on Ancestry testing which could be from the German. There’s also rumored Jewish heritage from the German side of the family which also could explain the mediterranean looks but ancestry testing shows no Jewish DNA for me.

wow so Schulz is not part jewish? ”Schulz” sounds very Ashkenazi Jewish from Germany or Austria

Andrew speculates about 4 minutes into this video that his German ancestors might have Ashkenazi Jewish heritage:

yeah it can totally be true, not saying there is no ethnic German who looks like him, take footballer Hummels as an example(also his Scottish and Irish ancestors could be heavily Celtic with little Viking influence), but i was under the impression that his last name was very Jewish-sounding
