Alain Berset is a Swiss politician. He has served as a member of the Swiss Federal Council, from 1 January, 2012 to 31 December, 2023, within which he has been President of Switzerland, from 1 January, 2018 to 31 December, 2018, and again, from 1 January, 2023 to 31 December, 2023; as well as Vice President of Switzerland, from 1 January, 2017 to 31 December, 2017, and again, from 1 January, 2022 to 31 December, 2022.
