Pep Guardiola is a Spanish professional footballer and manager. A defensive midfielder, and captain, he played for Barcelona C, Barcelona B, Barcelona, Brescia, Roma, Al-Ahli, and Dorados, and the Spanish national team and the Catalan national team. Pep was a part of Johan Cruyff’s “dream team” that won Barcelona’s first European Cup in 1992, as well as winning an Olympic gold medal the same year. He manages Premier League club Manchester City. He has also managed Barcelona B, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. He is the only manager to win the continental treble twice.
Pep is the son of Dolors Sala and Valentì Guardiola. His brother, Pere Guardiola, is a businessperson and football agent. He is married to Cristina Serra, with whom he has three children.
