Amber Stevens West is an American actress and model. She is known for her roles in the films 22 Jump Street, Fired Up!, Jessabelle, and Love Jacked, and on the shows Greek, The Carmichael Show, and Happy Together. She has also been credited as Amber Stevens and Amber West.

She is the daughter of actor, radio announcer, and DJ Shadoe Stevens (born Terry Keith Ingstad), and model Beverly Cunningham. Her father, who is caucasian, is of Norwegian, German, English, Dutch, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, and remote Welsh, ancestry. Her mother is African-American. Amber has also stated that her mother has Comanche Native American ancestry. It is not clear if this Native American ancestry has been verified/documented.

Amber is married to actor Andrew J. West, with whom she has two children.

Amber’s paternal grandfather was Keith Karl Ingstad (the son of Edward Bottolf Ingstad and Floy Adela Rathman). Keith was born in Jamestown, Stutsman, North Dakota. Edward was born in Valley City, Barnes, North Dakota, the son of Norwegian parents, Edward Ingstad and Bertha Patrina Fredrickson. Floy was born in Ossian, Winneshiek, Iowa, to a German father, John C. Rathman, and a mother, Mary Jane Webb, who was born in Wiltshire, England.

Amber’s paternal grandmother was LaVerne M. Baas (the daughter of Albert Baas and Frances/Fanny Jemima Cook). LaVerne was born in Jamestown, Stutsman, North Dakota. Albert was born in Orange City, Sioux, Iowa, the son of Jacob Dirk Baas, who was Dutch, and of Gertrude Katherine Jongewaard, who was born in Iowa, to Dutch parents, with roots in Berkhout. Frances was born in McPherson County, South Dakota, the daughter of Josey/Jose/Joseph/Jocey Chaffee Cook and Julianne Frances Taylor.
