Yelena Isinbayeva is a Russian pole vaulter. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist (2004, 2008), a three-time World Champion (2005, 2007, 2013), and the current world record holder in the event. She is widely considered the greatest female pole-vaulter of all time.

Yelena was born in Volgograd, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, to a Tabasaran father and a Russian mother. She is married to javelin thrower Nikita Petinov, with whom she has a daughter.
