Yael Naïm (יעל נעים) is a French-Israeli singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known for her 2008 song “New Soul.”
She was born in Paris, France, to Sephardi Jewish emigrants from Tunisia. When she was four, she moved to Ramat HaSharon, Israel, with her parents, where she spent her youth. She served in the Israel Defense Forces, as a soloist in the Israeli Air Force Orchestra.
Yael is married to Martiniquais musician and producer David Donatien, with whom she has two children.
