i think people here are forgetting that even though spaniards are white they are not as light featured as germanics because they have north african arab blood from the moors and the muslim conquest and north african arabs are very mixed with black blood so spaniards do carry negroid genes, so you will get spaniards from spain who look “mestizo” but yet they’re full white, so just because a south american has darker beige skin and dark features does not mean they can’t be of full european descent

  2. undashing says:

She is clearly white. Probably has some distant Native American ancestry though.

She can easily pass off as a Southern European girl.

    • undashing says:

*Correction* She might not have Native Ancestry. Puerto Rico is white majority country afterall. She could be pure European.

You are mental. Most of Puerto Rico is Black.

        • undashing says:

Don’t talk nonsense. Puerto Rico is the whitest place in Caribbean.

Clearly, you’ve never been there. I like to think most Puerto Ricans are mixed, native taino, African, and Spanish, among other things/ any combination. Mostly people in the capital are white. However the problem with a lot of Puerto Ricans is that they like to check off “white” in the census, even when they are very dark. I should know, I’m Puerto Rican and plenty of my dark skinned family members hate to admit or see the logic they have African ancestors. Also, Puerto Rico once had the opposite of the one drop rule in place, where if a person can prove they had a white grandparent, they were considered white.

everyone’s saying “oh, she looks white”, well her dad is white. But also I cant stand when people look at her mother and just automatically assume “well she must be a Puerto Rican of Spanish descent”. please, tell me a Puerto Rican who isn’t of Spanish descent. we have no idea what her mother is mixed with and like I say time and time again you can not assume what someone is just by looking at them or what they mostly look like

    • WTF says:

I agree with you. I knew a girl who was very white-passing, but I found out that she was half Thai. Also, there are biracial and multiracial celebrities who are white-passing. Rashida Jones, Mariah Carey, Derek Jeter, Vin Diesel, Nicole Richie, and so on. They’re all part black, but would you ever guess that they were? Probably not. It’s very ignorant for people to assume a person is white or whatever.

  4. Check7t says:

She looks white cause her mom is a White Puerto Rican of Spanish ancestry, you can tell just by looking at her phenotype.

PR is the whitest Caribbean island

      • sararuiz says:

Only according to the census, which goes according to what people decide to fill in as their race. Sadly, most Puerto Ricans fill in “white” even if they are very dark and clearly mixed or black. In Puerto Rico it is opposite the one drop rule in America. If a Puerto Rican person could prove they had a grandparent who was white, then they would be considered white. A lot of Puerto Ricans and other Hispanic, mostly Caribbean people refuse to accept they have black in them. I think most are mixed, at least in my family, some cousins still come out with strong Indio features, my grandfather looks straight up taino, and everyone thinks im arab..

        • ssempre says:

Same, I’m half hispanic, and clearly mestiza, but my dad always says that we’re italian, even though him, my grandfather, and I look mestiza.
