Place of Birth: Naples, Italy

Date of Birth: 22 October, 1965

Ethnicity: Italian, Greek, Egyptian

Valeria Golino is an Italian actress and director. She starred in the Hollywood movies Rain Man, and the Hot Shots! series with Charlie Sheen.

Valeria was born in Naples, Italy, to an Italian father, Luigi Golino, and a Greek mother, Lalla, who was a painter; one of her grandmothers is said to be Egyptian-French. It is unclear exactly what this means in a precise ethnic sense.

Valeria has said:

When I was 4 years old I moved to Greece. For me and my brother, Italian was our secret language. My grandma spoke Greek, my Egyptian grandpa spoke Arabic with my grandma, and English with my mother. My grandma spoke French with my father and my mother, Greek with her own mother, English with her own father.
