Tung Chee-hwa is a Hong Kong businessperson. He was the first Chief Executive of Hong Kong, from 1 July, 1997 to 12 March, 2005, when he resigned.

He is the son of the founder of shipping magnate Tung Chao Yung and Koo Lai-ying. He is married to Betty Chiu Hung-ping.

Chief Executive Tung’s paternal grandfather was S. C. Tung.
