Trevor Howard was an English actor. His roles include Brief Encounter, The Third Man, Battle of Britain, and Ryan’s Daughter, among many others.

Trevor was the son of Mabel Grey (Wallace) and Arthur John Howard-Smith, an insurance underwriter for Lloyd’s of London. Trevor was raised partly in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and other countries, because of his father’s work. He was married to actress Helen Cherry, until his death.
