I hope people realize that “Mexican” is not an ethnicity. Most People in Mexico share some combination of Amerindian/Mestizo, Spanish (from Spain), and Asiatic. There’s a also an African element in SOME of the people. Also, there are many ethnic German people that immigrated to Mexico hundreds of years ago, and continue to live. A person that is, say, 75% Spanish (from Spain) and 25% Amerindian, will look VERY different from someone with the reverse percentages. Make no mistake though, Spanish, Amerindian/Mestizo, and Asian are the ETHNICITIES. Mexican is the NATIONALITY. Nobody is ethnically Mexican. With that said, Romo is Polish/German. His family emigrated to Mexico and lived there. So, he’s a white boy.

Correction….it’s stated that he’s half Mexican, but judging by his looks, it’s probably mostly Spanish (from Spain) in his “Mexican” side. So he’s probably almost completely European in genes. Spanish/German/Polish is my guess.

mexican is indeed an ethniticy most mexican have their own ethnic backgroung (mayan, amerindians, aztecs, native somewhat european) and have nothing to with spanish just cuz it’s official language in mexico. in some regions native mexican indian speak their own dialect

        • Dan says:

???? Spanish (from Spain) DNA is in tons of people that are Mexican. I hope you realize that. Spain is in Europe. What is, “native somewhat European”? This is why Mexico is indeed a Nationality and not an ethnicity. You contradicted yourself. All of those things you listed are ethnicity’s. Granted, many of the people possess some or all of those ethnicity’s, but Mexico has only been “Mexico’ since 1821. When you think of the entire duration of human existence, this wasn’t very long ago. 1821 was the year they won independence from Spain. Generally, ethnicity’s are ancient. These are all places that can be traced back since the beginning of time, and they were indeed inhabited with ONE race of native people. Think Rome, Greece (other European countries), Africa, etc. Although there were Mayans, Aztecs, and other Native American on the land of what is now Mexico, they essentially formed to create a hybrid race of many ethnicity’s all mashed together. This is why it isn’t a TRUE ethnicity. Some Mexicans can be pure Native/Amerindian, some can be almost all Spanish, some can be a combination, some can be fully German, etc. It all depends on what a DNA test says. That’s why it isn’t an ethnicity, it’s a Nationality. Using your logic, then “American” would be an ethnicity, which we all know it isn’t.

His dad is probably a white Mexican. Could be a mestizo or castizo, though.

  5. LOL..FALSE says:

He is half Mexican, his father is Mexican American. He can look 100% Mexican.
